Privacy Policy

Effective from 18 October 2026

Sanggar Ikhtiar collects only the data needed to reply to messages, handle registrations, send Kabar Sanggar, and show the Network. We never sell it or use it for advertising.

In short

• We do not sell, rent, or trade anyone’s personal data.
• This site shows no ads and uses no ad trackers.
• The email and WhatsApp number you enter in a form never appear on the site.
• Messages sent through the form are deleted automatically after 6 months.
• You can ask to see, correct, or delete your data at any time through the Send a message form.

Who we are

Sanggar Ikhtiar is a space to learn, make, and gather in Kasugengan Kidul village, Cirebon Regency, West Java, Indonesia. We run sanggarikhtiar.com and are responsible for the personal data it receives.

This policy follows Indonesia’s Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 27 of 2022). It covers sanggarikhtiar.com and the Kabar Sanggar emails, not our social media accounts.

Data we collect

We keep only what you fill in yourself, plus a little technical data the site needs to run.

When you fill in a form to register, ask about a space or a day, or send a message

• What we keep: name, email or WhatsApp number, your message, the event or space it is about, page language.
• Why: to reply and handle registrations.
• How long: 6 months, then deleted automatically.

When you subscribe to Kabar Sanggar

• What we keep: email address, name if given, language list, whether emails are opened and links clicked.
• Why: to send the fortnightly Kabar Sanggar and quick updates about new events.
• How long: until you unsubscribe.

When you submit a profile through Berjejaring

• What we keep: name, type (person, collective, community, organisation), city, story, link, fields, photo or logo, connections, past events, email or WhatsApp number.
• Why: to show the profile in the Network and contact you about it.
• How long: until you ask us to remove it.

When you appear in event documentation

• What we keep: name and photo.
• Why: the sanggar’s archive of past events.
• How long: until you ask us to take it down.

When you visit the site

• What we keep: IP address, browser type, pages viewed.
• Why: to run the site and block spam.
• How long: 1 hour, encoded, for the spam check. Server logs follow our hosting provider.

Emails and WhatsApp numbers from forms and Berjejaring are seen only by the sanggar team and never appear on any page.

Cookies and third-party services

The site sets no cookies for ordinary visitors. Cookies are only used when the team logs in to the admin panel.

• Network view preference. The Network page remembers your chosen view (cards or list) and hints you have closed. This is stored in your own browser and never sent to us.
• Google Fonts. Fonts load from Google’s servers, so Google sees your IP address and browser type.
• Google Maps. The map under “Visit the sanggar” loads from Google, which may set cookies under its privacy policy.
• Visit statistics. We use Site Kit by Google to see visit counts and popular pages. When Google Analytics is active, Google records visits without names through cookies. We do not use this for advertising.

Services that process data for us

Three services help us run the site. They process data on our behalf and may not use it for their own purposes beyond that service.

• Hostinger: web server and the sanggar mailbox. Sees all site data and server logs.
• MailPoet (Automattic): subscriber list and sending Kabar Sanggar. Sees subscriber emails and whether emails are opened and clicked.
• Google: fonts, map, and visit statistics. Sees IP address, browser type, and pages viewed.

Some of these servers are outside Indonesia. We choose services with data protection equal to or stricter than Indonesian law.

We share personal data with no one else unless the law requires it.

Photos and Network profiles

• Network profiles go live only after we read them and the sender agrees. Owners get a private link (valid 30 days, renewable) to hide their photo, link, city, or story, and to update the content.
• Profiles we create for people or groups who have worked with the sanggar list their name, role, and events. If you would rather not be listed, tell us and we will take it down.
• Documentation photos are published only with permission from the event’s organiser. If your face or name appears and you want it removed, send us the page link through the form; we will take it down, no reason needed.

Your rights

Indonesian law gives you rights over your personal data. Send a request through the Send a message form with your name and the email or number you used, and we will check it before acting.

• A copy of your data: we respond within 3 x 24 hours (Art. 32).
• Correction of wrong data: within 3 x 24 hours (Art. 30).
• Withdrawal of consent, such as removing a Network profile: within 3 x 24 hours (Art. 40).
• Pausing or restricting processing: within 3 x 24 hours (Art. 41).
• Deletion of your data: as soon as possible, and we will tell you when it is done.

You can unsubscribe from Kabar Sanggar at once with the link at the bottom of every email.

Children

For participants under 18, registrations and messages should come from a parent or guardian. Photos of children are published only with permission from a parent, guardian, or accompanying organiser.

Security

• The site uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS).
• Only the sanggar team can log in to the admin panel and read messages.
• Even in the admin panel, senders’ emails and numbers are shown partly masked.

No system is completely safe. If a breach affects your data, we will notify you as Indonesian law requires.

Changes

When this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes too. Important changes are also announced in Kabar Sanggar.
